Risks Pate to eat during pregnancy:
1. Listeriosis:
The NHS recommends pregnant women to avoid all types of pâté, including vegetable pâté because of the possibility of bacteria Listeria in it . Pregnant women are very susceptible to listeriosis, a kind of food poisoning that occurs because of eating food contaminated with Listeria bacteria. And 'because of a pregnant woman's natural defense is weaker during pregnancy. Even a dozen studies show the association between pate and listeriosis. Listeriosis can cause digestive disorders, flu-like symptoms, and even miscarriage in severe cases. If it develops listeriosis during the last weeks of pregnancy, then the baby can be born sick

2. High levels of vitamin A:
Pate contains significantly higher levels of vitamin A, a nutrient that can be harmful during pregnancy. A high dose of vitamin A can lead to birth defects and can damage the baby's liver. So make sure that your daily intake of vitamin A should not exceed 8,000 IU.
3. Liver:
Another reason to skip eating pate during pregnancy is that it contains the liver, which you should not eat. Liver contains a high level of retinol that can harm the fetus.

1. Veggie Pate:
You Will need:
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- ½ cup nutritional yeast
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
- 1 ½ cups of water
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon dried basil leaves
- ½ teaspoon black pepper ground
- ½ teaspoon dried sage
- ½ teaspoon dried savory
- ½ teaspoon dry mustard ground
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 potato, peeled and chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 large carrot, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
How to:
- preheat oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a baking sheet.
- Blend whole wheat flour, yeast, sunflower seeds, potato, carrot, pepper and lemon juice. Now add the onion, celery, thyme, basil, sage, pepper, vegetable oil, garlic, water and mustard powder and blend further.
- Process the mixture until it acquires a smooth texture.
- Then transfer the mixture to the pan and cook for 1 hour or until slightly brown

2. Red lentils and sweet potatoes Pate:
is required:
- 1 small sweet potato size, peeled and diced
- 140 grams of red lentils
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil, for drizzling more
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ medium-sized onion , finely chopped
- 3 sprigs of thyme, chopped leaves
- 500ml of low sodium vegetable broth content
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- bread pita, to serve
How to:
- In a saucepan, heat the oil and add the chopped onion.
- Then add paprika and cook for another two minutes.
- Now add the vegetable broth, sweet potatoes, lentils, and thyme and simmer for 20 minutes or until lentils and sweet potatoes are tender.
- Add the vinegar, condiments and potatoes more or less mixture. If you like thick texture or grainy, then continue in this way.
- Put in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours and then sprinkle the remaining paprika and drizzle olive oil. You can also garnish with sprigs of thyme, if desired.
- Serve the pate with pita bread sticks vegetables.
Remember, the food you eat directly impact your child. So, try to include foods benefit you and your child. And it is only a matter of nine months. After that, you can eat pate much as you want.
