Many studies vouch for the benefits of using an inhaler for asthma during pregnancy. In most of these results, the results are all positive! In fact, as for most physicians, using an inhaler during pregnancy reduces the likelihood of an asthma attack and improve lung function (4).
However, there are recent studies that say they use inhalers during pregnancy is not completely sure. Using steroid inhalers during pregnancy can increase the risk of hormonal and metabolic disorders in your unborn baby (5). These results are elementary, and petitioned research.
